February 2018, FRANKLIN, TN – Censis Technologies, the leader in surgical asset management, announced today that Lee Ford, RN BSN with Floyd Medical Center accepted the Financial Excellence Award. Ford received the award for excellent tray tracking in Central Sterile Processing by utilizing Censis Technologies’ flagship product, CensiTrac.
In 2002, Censis Technologies launched CensiTrac; the first surgical instrument tracking system in the industry capable of tracking to the instrument-level. CensiTrac is a web-based software system offering electronic count sheets, instrument and tray tracking to the patient level, and paperless record keeping. The Financial Excellence Award focused on the outstanding tray tracking work Ford and her team accomplished in the Central Sterile department.
“We are proud of Lee and her department for their hard work,” said Censis CEO, Randy Smith. “It’s an honor to be a part of their success.”
“We knew immediately that CensiTrac would allow us to improve our productivity, modernize our tracking capabilities and, most importantly, achieve the highest level of patient care,” Ford said. “Receiving Floyd’s Financial Excellence Award for 2017 confirms that our organization feels the same way and greatly values the work we are doing in the area of sterile processing.”
